Come face to face with some of the hairiest, scariest, tallest and smallest animals on the planet - right in the heart of the capital.   Set in leafy Regent's Park amongst heritage-listed buildings and beautiful gardens, London Zoo is a great excuse for a big day out.

New for 2007 is the Gorilla kingdom and Clore Rainforest lookout.   These amazing new attractions will give visitors the chance to experience rainforests on two continents and their native inhabitants in a natural setting with no bars.   Also, get up close to cheeky squirrel monkeys in the walk-through experience, Meet the Monkeys. Dare to encounter the Komodo dragon, or embark on an African Bird Safari.   Even visit the penguins at feeding time or watch a display of natural animal behaviour at Animals in Action.

With all-day parking, play equipment, beautiful picnic areas, keeper talks, animal displays and exciting events, the whole family will enjoy a day out at London Zoo, full of discovery and wild fun.   Adult, child and concession tickets available.

The Zoological Society of London (ZSL) is a charity devoted to the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats.   By visiting ZSL London Zoo, you help us to protect endangered species, conserve natural habitats and bring learning to life for all ages.

Concession tickets are included for:

• Students aged 16 years and over
• Seniors over 60 years old
• Disabled

Children 2 and younger are free and do not require a ticket.

Bone up on your Scare Tactics at ZSL London Zoo!

Halloween activities running from 1st to 28th October 2007

There’s fiendish fun to be had in the run up to Halloween at ZSL London Zoo this October with a range of activities to thrill your little horrors.

Join in one of our creative storytelling sessions: investigate the scare tactics of the creatures of the rainforest as they forage for food, establish their territories and look for love; explore the brain of a bug and discover why creepy crawlies are nothing to be scared of; or take a trip to the wild side to find out how the wildlife living in your very own back garden frighten their foes.

Get your hands dirty in our enrichment workshops choosing and making treats for our rats and aye aye.

Learn more about the darker side of Megabugs, reptiles and spiders in our hair-raising daily talks. Don’t miss your chance to see scare tactics first hand in our special Animals in Action demonstrations.

Not to mention daily penguin and gorilla feeds and the opportunity experience a rainforest shower in Clore Rainforest Lookout.

All sessions are free and suitable for children of all ages.

Travel

London Zoo is located at the north-east corner of Regent's Park on the Outer Circle which is outside of the congestion charge zone.

Nearest Tube: Camden Town [Northern line]
• Exit the station on the right-hand side and walk along Parkway
• Continue walking up Parkway for about 6 minutes until you reach Prince Albert Road
• Turn right into Prince Albert Road and continue for about five minutes until you reach the traffic-light controlled pedestrian crossing
• Cross left here and walk over the Regent's Canal footbridge
• Turn right and London Zoo is then 200 metres up the road on the left-hand side

Regents Park Underground station will be closed from June 2006 - July 2007.  Please alight at Baker Street station or Camden Town to travel to London Zoo.

Access

Disabled access: Most of the park is lined with paved footpaths and roads suitable for wheelchairs, however the nature of a couple of the enclosures may make them unsuitable for wheelchairs, such as the woodchipped path in the Woodland Bird Walk.

Disabled Toilets: There are four disabled access toilets in the park, as marked on the Day Planner map available at the main gate and information kiosk.
