He graduated in 2003 and after a wrong turn in the construction industry, devoted himself full time to music and art and has never looked back.
The band formed around Gideon in 2005, and have gone from strength to strength. They have wowed at major festivals and toured with some fantastic artists including Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, 6 Day Riot and Jason Mraz. They released a catchy, hip hop/indie crossover single called 'I Want You Around' which was well received by radio - playlisted on Xfm and awarded breakfast single of the week on BBC 6 music as well being championed by Huw Stevens and Rob da Bank on Radio 1.

Gideon's debut album entitled 'New Bop Sounds' is due for release in March 2010. The first single from the album is called Londonderry and due for UK release on Dec 14th 2009. It is a beautiful song, memorable for its unabashed simplicity and ability to capture your heart and mind.

Tickets from www.allthecharts.com<dcterms:modified>2010-03-22T13:15:31-00:00</dcterms:modified><geo:lat>53.48533900</geo:lat><geo:long>-2.23436600</geo:long><geourl:latitude>53.48533900</geourl:latitude><geourl:longitude>-2.23436600</geourl:longitude><icbm:latitude>53.48533900</icbm:latitude><icbm:longitude>-2.23436600</icbm:longitude>

Harmonica Day Concert Tickets, Band On The Wall, Manchester

A fabulous afternoon to celebrate the Harmonica.
Luminary acoustic guitarist and songwriter John Renbourn is best known for his collaborations with Bert Jansch and his time with the legendary folk/jazz fusion band Pentangle.
Scottish multi-instrumentalist, musician, singer, songwriter and master Celtic storyteller Robin Williamson made his name as a member of the Incredible String Band between 1966 and 1974.
During that time the band were one of the most popular and influential groups of the era. John and Robin will be performing both their own solo material at the concert as well as playing as a duo.
Their live album Wheel Of Fortune, released in 1995, was nominated for a Grammy (as was the Incredible String Band’s 1968 album Hangman’s Beautiful Daughter). An unmissable and intimate night in the company of two legends of the British folk scene.
This seated concert will begin at 7.30pm.

Tickets from www.allthecharts.com<dcterms:modified>2010-03-22T13:15:31-00:00</dcterms:modified><geo:lat>53.48533900</geo:lat><geo:long>-2.23436600</geo:long><geourl:latitude>53.48533900</geourl:latitude><geourl:longitude>-2.23436600</geourl:longitude><icbm:latitude>53.48533900</icbm:latitude><icbm:longitude>-2.23436600</icbm:longitude>

Show of Hands Concert Tickets, Band On The Wall, Manchester

Show Of Hands are England's most successful acoustic roots duo - Steve Knightley and Phil Beer.
Unavailable theatrically for many years, this forgotten classic from the underrated British director Thorold Dickinson is an eerie chiller based on the short story by Pushkin.

It is 1806 and Imperial Russia and St Petersburg are in the grip of gambling fever. No card strikes more fear into the hearts of the soldiers than the evil Queen of Spades. Captain Herman Suvorin (Anton Walbrook) is a lowly German engineer: an outsider obsessed with making his fortune, whose peculiar manner isolates him from the revelries of the other bawdy soldiers. He is intrigued, though, by the soldiers' gossip that tells of the legend of an ancient Countess, who supposedly sold her soul to the devil years before in exchange for the secret of success at the card game de jour: faro.

This is a masterly tale of the supernatural, filmed with visual boldness and great style and offers a wonderful chance to see one of Britain's great ghost stories on the big screen.

The film has been hailed as a masterpiece by Martin Scorsese who has filmed a special introduction to the film for this new release.
