Alton Towers is one of the worlds leading theme parks! With a host of rides and attractions spread over 500 acres of countryside, truly a fantastic day out for the whole family.

Set deep in the heart of Alton Towers' spectacular wooded grounds lays the pulsating, high-octane heart of the resort. At the UK's greatest theme park, there's adrenalin-pumping excitement and infectious fun on a legendary scale. Kids will love it... but maybe not as much as you will.

NEW FOR 2010!!

THIRTEEN:

The ultimate rollercoaster, Thirteen, launches on 20th March 2010.

Thirteen will be based on the discovery of an unearthed ancient burial site in an area of unexplored woodland known as the Dark Forest.

Built on the site of the old Corkscrew rollercoaster, visitors will be invited to take a petrifying ride on Thirteen, venturing into the seemingly living and breathing Dark Forest. There they will face an unknown horror that has been unleashed from the ancient crypt.

The ride has been developed with the world's leading coaster and thrill consultants who have collaborated to combine the ultimate elements of physical and psychological fear - to create what experts are dubbing a 'psychoaster'.

What you'll find at Alton Towers?

Towers Street: Whether it be sweets or ice-cream for the kids, a trendy jacket for dad, a cool brolly for mum, or whatever else you may fancy, Towers Street is where it's at. After riding the monorail from the car park, or walking from the nearby coach park, you enter Towers Street. Here you will find a choice of shops, where there literally is something for everyone.

Cred Street: Situated behind the Towers, Cred Street is family orientated. Here you will find peace and tranquility, that is until Barney the Dinosaur makes an appearance, as he entertains the kids throughout the day in the theatre and out on the street.

Katanga Canyon: Here in an African colonial village you will find the Runaway Minetrain, and the ferocious Congo River Rapids.

X-Sector: Dare you enter the X-Sector, with the foreboding Oblivion, and coaster-in-the-dark, Black Hole?
