The full day tour from Vienna to Burgenland and Esterhazy is an enjoyable experience.In Eisenstadt, the tour visits the Esterhazy Palace, the one time residence of Hungarian Princes, and for many years home of the composer Joseph Haydn. The castle assume the role of Grand Controller and receive visitors in courtly tradition.
Following a short walk through the old town, the tour continues through the countryside of Lake Neusiedl, a UNESCO world heritage sight.
In Rust, city of storks, you will enjoy lunch with gypsy musical accompaniment followed by a cruise on Lake Neusiedl, Europe's second largest steppe lake and a paradise for birds.
Departs: Saturdays @ 9:45am
Running time: Approx. 8 hrs
You will be picked-up at your central Vienna hotel 30-60 minutes prior to the tour time. You will then be taken to the bus station at Busbahnhof Wien-Mitte to begin the tour.
The tour ends at Vienna State Opera House and photo Identification may be required prior to boarding.
Notes
Tours are not suitable for those who are totally wheelchair bound because the coaches and buses are not adapted with the appropriate equipment. If the person can get out of the wheelchair and it can be folded up all with the help of their companion then they can take these tours. Wheelchair users should book by telephone.
