Mon, 13th October 2008 - Wed, 31st December 2008
This combination tour that includes the City Sightseeing and the Blue Lagoon tour, is tailor made for those who don’t have much time, but want to make the most of their stay in Iceland. We’ll take you to visit the most significant places in the capital and the surrounding towns. You’ll visit the presidential residence at Bessastaðir, the town of Hafnarfjörður where the “hidden people” (folklore creatures) and humans live together in harmony, the fishing harbor and when available, the fish market. In Reykjavík, we’ll visit the restaurant Perlan which is built on the city’s hot water tanks, the Höfði house which is famous for the summit meeting between Reagan and Gorbachev in 1986, the Hallgrímskirkja church, the old city centre and much more. The tour will take a break in the city centre where passengers will be dropped off to take a stroll or have lunch (not included in price).
After the break, passengers are picked up and taken to the Blue Lagoon, best described as a geothermal beach and simply heaven. It has a sandy bottom, lovely milky blue water and silica mud. In addition to bathing in the lagoon, guests can relax in a lava cave and a unique geothermal steam bath. The Blue Lagoon’s warm water and natural active ingredients: salts, silica and blue green algae help our guests to relax and escape the stresses and strains of daily life.
Children under 12 are free.
