Think you can handle 30 laps of white-knuckled, heart pounding speed? Taming the speedway in 3 driving segments allows you to improve your driving line, increase your speed and encourages the idea that you may change careers in this, the ultimate half-day driving experience. Prior to driving, students will go through 2 elements of safety and instruction training, in-car and on-track instruction. Between your 3 driving sessions, drivers will receive one-on-one feedback from the Pit Road Instructor, as well as additional instruction from the on-track driving instructors. After your 3 driving sessions of 10 laps each, students will receive a graduation packet that includes a time sheet with a breakdown of each lap driven.
Times: Available daily from 8am.
Additional Information
What types of cars are used?
NASCAR style stock cars. Body styles used are Dodge Intrepid, Chevy Monte Carlo, Ford Taurus and Pontiac Grand Prix.
What if it rains?
Participants will be given the option to reschedule to a mutually agreeable date or be issued a credit certificate, valid for one year from the date of issue. Sorry, refunds are not available.
Do I need any prior racing experience?
No experience is required, but you must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive a standard transmission to participate in a driving program. For the Riding Experience, guests must be 18 and over to drive.
What is provided and what do I need to bring?
All participants are provided a regulation helmet and neck guard. Participants of the driving programs will also be issued a drivers suit and will need to wear socks, closed-toe shoes and clothes that will be comfortable under a drivers suit.
Is additional insurance required to participate in this experience?
We have been advised by the Walt Disney World Speedway that additional insurance is not required however a disclaimer form does need to be filled in before they begin.
Please remember that Walt Disney World Speedway reserve the right to judge all participants' performance. Anyone who shows up unfit to drive or who engages in an activity they feel to be unsafe or dangerous will be asked to leave and forfeits their right to drive. Refunds will not be issued.
