Travel
Sandown Park is in a picturesque parkland setting in the town of Esher, Surrey, with superb travel links. Located within the M25 it is only 25 minutes by train from London Waterloo or 15 miles from south west London.
TRAVELLING BY ROAD
From London, take the A3 and follow the brown venue signs to Sandown Park.
Alternatively, from the M25 exit at Junction 10 and follow the A3 towards London; exit onto the A307 and follow the brown venue signs. The Portsmouth Road car park is off the A307 Esher High Street directly in front of the main entrance.
PARKING ON A RACE DAY
Parking is free in the centre of the racecourse, which you can reach from the More Lane entrance. For a £5 fee you can book your car into the main car park off the Portsmouth Road.
Coach parking is free: Just follow the Sandown Park signposts on all approach routes and park in the area off the Portsmouth Road.
Disabled Parking: There are allocated parking spaces in the main Portsmouth Road car park, which is free of charge to all blue badge holders. The parking is very close to the main entrance and the grandstand.
Taxis: There is a taxi rank right outside the main entrance.
TRAVELLING BY TRAIN
Trains to Esher station for Sandown Park run from London Waterloo and Clapham Junction approximately every 20 minutes and the journey time is 25 minutes.
Esher station is approximately 10 minutes flat walk from the main entrance. On a non-race day visitors should turn left out of the station onto Station Road and then right at the 'T' junction to join the A307 Portsmouth Road. The entrance to Sandown Park is on the right hand side.
Alternatively there is a taxi rank and a free Sandown Park minibus to and from the train station, running every 15 minutes until 90 minutes after the last race.

TRAVELLING BY AIR
Sandown Park has a helipad; visitors wishing to arrive by helicopter should contact the venue in advance. London airports Heathrow and Gatwick are approximately 12 and 25 miles away by road respectively.
ENCLOSURES
THE GRANDSTAND ENCLOSURE
The spacious, modern Grandstand is designed to get you as close to the action as is humanly possible.
You can check out your favourite at the Parade Ring, then move quickly back to the 'steppings' - from which, famously, you can see the entire course without obstruction.
The rear balcony overlooks the Parade Ring and links the bars and the seating areas. You can choose from a wide variety of restaurants and food outlets that cater for every taste and budget.
Dress code: informal and casual dress. No vests or bare tops.
THE PREMIER ENCLOSURE
At Sandown Park, we're obsessed with accessibility - and in our Premier Enclosure, you'll enjoy a fabulous view of the racing that is probably unequalled in the UK.
The covered seating is directly opposite the winning post: you couldn't hope for a better position! There are a host of excellent bars and restaurants for when you're not glued to the racecourse.
Dress code: we don't insist that gentlemen wear jackets and ties, nor ladies, hats. The style is 'smart casual'. We like collared shirts on gentlemen (including polo shirts and polo-necked jumpers). Jeans are acceptable, providing they're not torn. We don't allow trainers, non-tailored shorts, vests, football or rugby shirts.

Remember - kids go FREE every race day.*
*Entrance for accompanied children under 16 years of age are free except on music nights.

A guest with disabilities who is coming racing with an accompanying carer will only be charged for a single admission.
DRESS CODE
The dress code at Sandown Park is officially smart casual, but many people like to dress up for certain days, for example The Coral-Eclipse Meeting. We do not insist that a jacket and tie are worn to all meetings nor are ladies required to wear a hat. Smart Jeans are permitted but must not be ripped or torn. Sportswear including non tailored shorts, football and rugby shirts and trainers are not permitted. Bare tops are also not permitted.
