Ultimate Kuranda Experience
Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park
Cairns
Australia
Fri, 21st November 2008 - Tue, 31st March 2009
Where else can you expereince three of the Far North's iconic attractions in one complete day.

Board Kuranda Scenic Railway at the historic Freshwater Station for your journey through the Rainforests of the Barron Gorge National Park. You will discover the pioneering history of the tropical north from way back in the late 1800's, be astounded by a magnificent engineering feat and explore some of the great characters involved in the construction of this great railway.

Alight in Kuranda - the village in the Rainforest where you have free time to wander through the Heritage Markets, craft shops and galleries. You have the opportunity for lunch in the many cafes and restaurants or wait until you visit Tjapukai.

Then board Skyrail at Kuranda for the Worlds Most Beautiful Rainforest Experience a world first in environmental tourism taking you on an amazing experience over Australia's World Heritage Listed Tropical Rainforest canopy and deep into the forest. Gliding just metres above the rainforest canopy in comfortable six-person gondola cabins, the Skyrail journey immerses you in an intimate rainforest experience where you’ll see, hear, smell and become part of the tropical rainforest environment.

When you arrive in Caravonica, walk along the adjacent footpath to Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park a multi-award winning indigenous attraction and the flagship for maketing Australia's indigenous culture internationally.

Tjapukai showcases the culture of the rainforest people of Tropical North Queensland through a stunning theatrical interpretation from the beginning of time into the future. Seven separate arenas allow visitors to experience every facet of the rainforest people's culture - from the provocative History Theatre to the inspiring Creation Theatre, and the original Dance Theatre with the interactive Camp Village, where visitors can learn didgeridoo playing and boomerang throwing.

There is an opportunity to visit first in the Boomerang Restaurant for an international buffet lunch.

When the day is over we have transfers included to take you back to your accommodation.
