After departure, our tour will cross the city and take the Autostrada del Sole, a major Italian highway, past the region of Ciociaria. The movie, "La Ciociaria," for which Sophia Loren won an Oscar, was filmed here. From the coach we will have a view of the Abbey of Montecassino.
Upon arrival in Naples, we will embark on the ferry and depart for the Island of Capri. Once we arrive at the Marina Grande, if weather and sea conditions permit we will visit the Blue Grotto (optional, admission not included in tour price but available for $50.00 per person). Afterwards, we will return to the marina to depart by minibus for a panoramic tour of the island, ending at Anacapri - a village situated at the foot of Mt. Solaro.
After lunch in a local restaurant, you will enjoy free time to shop and explore. At approximately 3:30 pm, we will meet at the harbor. Our trip back to Rome will begin around 5:30 pm.
Return arrival in Rome is scheduled for 9:30pm - traffic permitting. Travelers will be returned to their hotels or immediate vicinity.
Price includes transportation in a deluxe, air-conditioned coach, ferryboat ride, tour guide, lunch and the assistance of Gray Line Rome's qualified personnel. Beverages and extras are not included. Does not include blue grotto.
Please note: In the event of rough seas or high tide on the Bay of Naples, travelers will be taken to Pompeii instead and the difference in price will be refunded.
