ALTHORP - Home to the Spencer family for nearly 500 years. In September 1997, the House became the focus of world attention following the tragic death of Diana, Princess of Wales. Much of Althorp’s charm derives from the sheer beauty of its setting. The House is set in 450 acres of idyllic park, much of which has remained unaltered over the centuries.
THE EXHIBITION - You will visit the Stables, which are now the setting for the award winning Exhibition celebrating the life Diana, Princess of Wales and honouring her memory after her death. The displays include unique childhood cine footage and the Princess’s most memorable outfits.
THE HOUSE - You will see up to sixteen state rooms including the Wootton Hall, the Library, the Saloon, the Marlborough and Sunderland Rooms and many fine pictures by Rubens, Van Dyck, Reynolds and Gainsborough.
THE GROUNDS - You can also visit the Round Oval, as the lake is known, where Diana, Princess of Wales, was laid to rest.
