Old & New Town Experience

This tour explores the dual nature of Edinburgh, marked in its physical layout, architecture, history and literature. The reverse chronological narrative accompanies a journey from the prim and respectable New Town into the clustered closes and churchyards of the Old. From Enlightenment to superstition, respectability to villainy and peaceful progress to religious war this tour will reveal the two sides of Scotlands history as it has etched itself into the stonework of the city.
