Farnborough International Airshow 2010 will take to the skies in what will mark the 47th biennial show. Open to the public on the 24th-25th July, the show will maintain its status on the airshow calendar as one of the most diverse and largest of its kind. The event is held at the famous Farnborough Aerodrome which links back to aviation from the very beginning of man's quest for air. This historic landmark opens its gates over the weekend to demonstrate to the public a combination of civil and military aircraft displaying historic to modern day technology. ExhibitsThe show boasts a vast showground and located among the displays are the four large exhibition halls. These halls house the 1,393 exhibiting companies which make up the global Aerospace Industry. From nuts & bolts to aero engines or ejector seats to hostess trolleys, this is where the Aerospace Industry gathers to exchange information and to make business. And you can witness it first hand. The trade stands remain open for the public weekend and the companies participating can give you an informative insight into some of the most up to date technology never seen before. Some of the larger exhibits include Airbus, Boeing and Rolls-Royce to name but a few. Included within these exhibits are a number of specialised pavilions. These pavilions concentrate on specific sectors within Aerospace and present a larger display.The International Space Pavilion hosts a number of companies within the space sector and over the public weekend, the International Space Pavilion gets interactive and a series of seminars will take place which are perfect for educating children and getting them involved and excited by Space. The UAV Pavilion is the display of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. The UAV pavilion holds a high interest with public visitors due to their air capabilities and for the obvious reason – they are unmanned! The exhibits and static aircraft display is a must see attraction. Display's / AirshowUndoubtedly, the main attraction at this event is its participating aircraft. The flying display starts at 12.30 and runs until 5pm, giving 4 ½ hours of exhilarating first-class entertainment. The flying displays a wide range of civil airliners, military jets, historic aircraft and aerobatics including the World famous Red Arrows. The displays will demonstrate the capabilities and the technology used in these amazing flying machines. These aerobatics will demonstrate the ability in performing breathtaking stunts. The trained pilots will guarantee to get your pulses racing with there phenomenal movements. The flying display is guaranteed to get your pulses racing!The static display runs in parallel to the exhibition and gives the visitor the chance to witness the aircraft close up.
