DRESS CODES

Premier Enclosure
Dressing up is part of the appeal of coming racing. Most people wear smart-casual clothing in the Premier Enclosures, and many wear ties.
- The majority of premier enclosure customers do not want jeans, denim, t-shirts and other collarless shirts, beachwear, trainers, or unduly casual clothing in the Premier Enclosure during racing.
- Anyone wearing such items will be asked to move to other enclosures, where more casual dress is accepted by the majority.

Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure
Racegoers in the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosures usually dress smartly. Smart shorts and jeans are acceptable but no bare tops or sleeveless vests.

Rowley/Garden Enclosures
No dress-code applies to these enclosures.

The Newmarket July Festival
Dressing up is positively encouraged for The Newmarket July Festival with jackets and ties, hats and smart dress the order of the day.

Newmarket Nights
The dress code for each enclosure still applies for the Newmarket Nights

Dress Code for Children
Please be aware that the Newmarket Racecourse Dress Code will be applied to children over 12 years of age.

CHILDREN

Children under 16 years of age are admitted free of charge to all enclosures on all race days at both of the Newmarket courses (with the exception of the Newmarket Nights), when accompanied by an adult.

Admission wristbands will be issued to children aged 2 to 15 years for all Newmarket race meetings.  Parents' contact details can be written on the wristbands.

Other rules may apply for special events. Please check the information given at time of booking.
