Sail by Columbus Ship to the Contoy Island Nature Sanctuary & Snorkeling

Embark on a journey of discovery as we explore the untouched natural wonders of the uninhabited bird paradise "Isla Contoy" aboard one of our famous discovery ships, Columbuss " Pinta" or the " Corsario." These ships are traditional wooden replicas of the famous historical discovery vessels. This unique experience will take you back in time!

Along the way to the island, enter the magic of the underwater world through your snorkel mask in a guided underwater reef tour. Then continue to Contoy Island, a fragile environment where only 2 ships are authorized to dock each day.

With the help of your experienced tour guide, observe and learn about the many species of tropical sea-birds living in this nearly untouched habitat. After the tour, allow Captain Miguel to spoil you with a delicious BBQ fish or lobster lunch. Then you will have a chance to interact with the friendly stingrays of Stingray Beach before heading back.

ITINERARY:

• Departs at 9:00am from the Hacienda Del Mar Marina at Puerto Juarez.
• Sail for approximately 2 hours with a snorkel stop at the barrier reef.
• Arrive at Isla Contoy for a guided tour through the Island and up to the panoramic tower.
• A delicious bbq fish lunch and free time follows.
• Finally we sail back to Cancun, arriving in port at 5:00pm.
