Following on from the hugely successful sell out 2008 live tour, shows for 2009 are now on sale!
Series Two champion Jill Halfpenny, comic Julian Clary, last year’s smooth mover, Gethin Jones and rugby star Kenny Logan today announce that they are the first celebrities who will join STRICTLY COME DANCING - THE LIVE TOUR!. Audiences across the country will once again get the chance to watch a host of their favourite celebrities, dance champions and those all important TV judges, when STRICTLY COME DANCING - THE LIVE TOUR! hits UK Arenas next January and February.
Following this year’s massive sell-out UK tour, STRICTLY COME DANCING - THE LIVE TOUR! 2009 will see stars from the hit TV show past and present gather their gowns and dance shoes, to once again become dance contestants, competing for the votes of the audiences in Arenas across the Country.
The 2009 tour will see the celebrities face their dance demons in the form of all four TV judges - Len Goodman, Arlene Phillips, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli – joining each show to voice their professional opinions of the dancing duos.
The format of the show (tbc) ....There will be two 45 minute sections with a 20 min interval in-between. First half celebs dance. Then the audience text to choose their winner.
Second half is group dancing and some professionals doing their thing! Then at the end the winner is announced
The five-week dance spectacular will also travel to Liverpool’s Echo Arena, Manchester’s MEN Arena, Nottingham Arena, Sheffield Arena, London’s Wembley Arena, London’s O2 Arena, SECC in Glasgow and Birmingham LG Arena.

The NEC is served by it’s own railway station Birmingham International – the Arena is a 5 minute walk from the station by covered walkway.
By Road: The NEC is just off the M42 motorway – exit at junction 6, & the M45/A45. The M40, M1, M6, M6 Toll & M5 all connect to the M42.
By Rail: Birmingham International serves the NEC complex covering both inter city services & all local rail destinations via Birmingham New Street & Coventry. Rail is the most practical & convenient way to get to the NEC.
By Bus: The NEC complexed is served by the following bus routes 38 Birmingham City Centre – Acocks Green - NEC , 58A Bordesley - NEC, 900 Coventry – Birmingham City Centre, 966 Solihull - Erdington.
Air: Birmingham International Airport is situated the National Exhibition Centre.
Car Parking: The NEC has over 22000 car park spaces specifically for people visiting, organising or exhibiting at The NEC. You may be charged up to £8, please check when booking. Where available, and if purchased in advance, parking may be cheaper in price.
