The Abbey Tavern is an authentic 16th century tavern and restaurant. Original stone walls, gas lights and open turf fires. Celebrating 45 years of our "Traditional Irish Evening" in The Barn, featuring the world famous Abbey Tavern singers and musicians with a lively performance of music, song and the very best of Irish dancing.
During the entertainment we serve a typical 5 course Irish dinner finishing with Irish coffee.

TRAVEL Info
Howth is on the North side of Dublin, just 8 miles outside the city. The Abbey Tavern can be reached by any of the following methods:
By Train: Take the dart to Howth from any Dart Station in Dublin. The Abbey Tavern from Howth Dart Station is just a short walk along the promenade.
By Bus: Howth is served from the City Centre by the following bus routes: 31, 31B from Abbey Street, Dublin. The bus stop is less that 100 yards from The Abbey Tavern.
By Taxi: Taxi's from the city centre will cost approximately €20 to The Abbey Tavern.
By Car: From the city - travel North to the Howth Road. Continue straight for approximately 8 miles until you reach Howth which is well sign posted. The Abbey Tavern is in the centre of Howth village. From the North - travel through Malahide and Sutton to the Howth Road. Continue straight for approximately 2 miles from Sutton until you reach Howth.
