Oslo Grand Highlights Tour
Oslo Vision
Oslo
Norway
Thu, 9th October 2008 - Sat, 16th May 2009

This tour gives you an overall view of Oslo. Passing through the city centre with its majestic main street Karl Johan, you will see the Royal Palace, Parliament, Oslo City Hall, Akershus Fortress and Castle and the lively harbour. At Holmenkollen ski jump you will enjoy a fabulous view.
You will visit the Vigeland Sculpture Park and The Viking Ship Museum. We visit The Fram museum, where you can see the polar ship: Fram. Fram is the strongest vessel in the world. This remarkable vessel has advanced further north and further south than any other surface vessel. Fram was used for three arctic expeditions: by Fridtjof Nansen, Otto Sverdrup, and Roald Amundsen. Fram was built in 1892, and is exhibited as original with interior and objects. A comprehensive history of arctic exploration is presented around the vessel.
The Kon-Tiki museum will be the last attraction on this complete tour. You will see the vessels from Thor Heyerdahl’s expeditions, which are displayed at the Kon-Tiki museum: the original Kon-Tiki balsa-wood raft and the papyrus boat RA II.
