Since being newly refurbished in April, the Aquarium continues to draw ever-increasing visitor numbers, with many guests that are planning to visit the neighboring London Eye, choosing to add it to their visit to South Bank.

The Sea Life London Aquarium has the largest shoal of cow nosed rays in the world.

The Sea Life London Aquarium takes you into the depths of the rainforest where you can experience the feeding of the infamous Archer Fish as they jump from the water to capture their prey.

Please note Friday 11th and Friday 18th we will be closing at 18:00 (last entry 17:00)

The all new SeaLife London Aquarium has now re-opened and customers can now take the terryfing shark walk or journey through the big tank in the underwater tunnel as well as watch live shark and ray feeds daily a the attraction.

The opening hours for the aquarium are as follows Monday Friday 10:00am 6:00pm last admission at 5:00pm and Saturdays and Sundays the attraction is open from 10:00am 7pm with the last admission at 6:00pm.

Please note that Sunday 19th July the Aquarium will be open from 10:00am 6:00pm with last entry at 5pm

Due to the extensive refurbishment taking place at the London Aquarium it has been necessary to make some changes to the opening times of the attraction.

From Monday 12th January the Aquarium will be opening at the following times:

Monday - Friday: 12pm - 3pm
Saturday - Sunday: 10:00am - 5pm

Over the February half term holiday (14th - 23rd February) The London Aquarium will be opening its doors to welcome visitors from 10am-5pm (last admission) from Monday to Sunday.




Please Note: The London Aquarium routinely tests its fire alarm system between 10 am and 11 am every Thursday. You may wish to keep this in mind when planning a visit to the aquarium.

Travel Info

Tube
The nearest tube stations are Westminster and Waterloo. Westminster tube is on the Circle, Jubilee and District lines. From Westminster, exit onto Westminster Bridge (Exit 1) and then cross over the Bridge. London Aquarium is visible from the Bridge. Waterloo tube is on the Northern, Bakerloo, Waterloo & City lines. From Waterloo follow the exit signs for the South Bank (Exit 6) and walk towards the London Eye. London Aquarium is in County Hall, next to the Eye.

Train
The nearest train station is Waterloo East. From Waterloo East follow the exit signs for the South Bank (Exit 6) and walk towards the London Eye. London Aquarium is in County Hall, next to the Eye.

Charing Cross train station is also near to the Aquarium. From Charing Cross take the exit next to platform 1 for Hungerford Bridge; go over the bridge and once over the river turn back on yourself following signs for Jubilee Gardens. Follow the river front past the London Eye and the Aquarium is on your left.

Bus
There are a large number of bus services which stop in the vicinity of Waterloo or Westminster Bridge Road (both accessible to the Aquarium.) For Westminster Bridge Road, take the 12, 53, 59, 76, 148, 159, 211 or 341. For Belvedere Road (just behind the Aquarium, parallel to the South Bank), take the 77 or RV1. For York Road (next to Waterloo and behind the Aquarium) take the 211, 77 or 381. Many other buses stop in Waterloo Road, which is a few minutes walk from the Aquarium. These include 1,4, 26, X68, 76, 168, 171, 172, 176, 188, 243, 507 and 638.

All the London sightseeing busses also pick up and drop off at these points.

Car
The nearest car parking is a quick walk down the South Bank at the Royal Festival Hall or at the underground parking facility at Waterloo Station. Please be aware of the central London Congestion Charge, which typically runs from Monday-Friday. (Information line for Congestion Charge is 0845 900 1234.

Coach
There are designated coach drop-off points at the corner of Belverdere Road and Chicheley Street, next to Jubilee Gardens.
You will need a 20 minute pick up/drop off permit that can be obtained by phoning 0870 990 8886

Bicycle
There are many bicycle racks in the area, the nearest ones being along Belvedere Road and at St Thomas' Hospital.

Special Needs Info

At the aquarium we have full disabled access with lifts to all levels. There are also disabled toilets available on every floor. We also have wheelchairs that can be borrowed during visits.

Please note that if your group has specific needs or requirements, we are able to tailor a tour to your needs. Please note that for groups booking a tour who have hard of hearing individuals in their party, tours can be provided in advance of the visit, in written format.
