Europe’s largest marine mammal parkA visit to the Netherlands is incomplete without a visit to the Dolfinarium! A unique theme park with an impressive collection of marine mammals, offers a full-day programme with no fewer than nine (!) spectacular shows and demonstrations!
Marvel at the largest park’s largest residents during the walrus demonstration at the Walrussenwal or take a seat in the renowned DolfijndoMijn and enjoy the super-spectacular dolphin show! The ‘Maffe Matrozen’ sea lion show will have you rolling with laughter, and those who dare can pet rays and sharks at the Roggenrif. Go down to the underwater panorama of the Odiezee where you can view the animals face to face behind a 60m-long glass wall. Maybe you’ll get to see our most famous dolphin Spetter in real life.
A splashing experience! You can use up all your excess energy in one of the four playgrounds ‘Kantjeboord’, ‘Pierewier’, ‘Springtij’ and the ‘Brulbaai’ and the various restaurants and kiosks offer a wide range of meals and snacks.
NEW in 2008: in the Filmtheater: the Spetter film with special effects. This exciting film with 4-D effects, such as vibrating seats and real drops of water, tells the adventure that dolphin Spetter experiences when the Romanov jewels are stolen from the museum in Harderwijk. While running away from the police the criminals leave the jewels behind in the Dolfinarium, including in Spetter's pool where Spetter – in a playful mood - swallows them. How will the adventure end?
The park is open daily from 16th February until 26th October from 10am to 5pm.
Open until 6pm during the months of July & August.
