Full Day Tropical Islands
Brazil
Rio de Janeiro
Brazil
Travel through the districts of Botafogo and Flamengo on our drive to paradise.
After an hour and a half there will be a short stop before proceeding to the fishing village Itacuruçá, around 90 kilometres (56 miles) from Rio de Janeiro. This is the boarding point for the tropical islands schooner cruise.
With the sun shining above you, and the turquoise sea below, you can see a myriad of islands around as you cruise along - isn't that the stuff that dreams are made of?
To put the finishing touch to your perfect day, we are tempted by a sampling of Brazil's national drink: Caipirinha. The recipe is simple, the taste divine: cachaça (made from sugar-cane), lime, sugar and crushed ice.
As the day progresses and our stomachs start 'speaking' up, we change the course and head for one of the islands. A buffet-lunch, enriched with fresh seafood will certainly be a delight for the taste-buds, after this Epicurean feast and some free time we reboard the schooner to return to the mainland where the coach awaits us to leave behind the tropical paradise, but taking home a lifetime of memories.
Arrive back to Rio de Janeiro at 6p.m.
IMPORTANT
- Beverages during lunch are not included.
- Don't forget to bring along beach-wear and beach-towels and sun-protection is highly recommended.
Departs:Daily at 8:30am.
Duration Approx 9 Hours.
