Truly the ultimate tropical North Queensland experience - two magical days exploring two of the world's greatest natural wonders, the Great Barrier Reef and the tropical rainforests.
Reef Adventure
You'll spend Day One discovering the beauty and magnificence of the Outer Barrier Reef with Sunlover Cruises' acclaimed Moore Reef cruise. Travel to the reef onboard luxury air-conditioned catamaran, then enjoy about four hours exploring the reef and getting up close and personal with more than 10,000 diverse marine inhabitants.
It's a memorable day on the water featuring a sumptuous chef-prepared hot and cold buffet luncheon, hours of snorkelling, coral viewing tours onboard a glass bottom boat or semi-submersible and a range of other fun activities.
Lunch: A hot and cold buffet lunch will be served at 12.30pm at the pontoon. This delicious smorgasbord features seafood and a range of other tropical taste sensations.
Extended reef time: About four hours at The pontoon gives you plenty of chance to explore the reef and to enjoy all the activities on offer.
Snorkelling demonstration: The Sunlover Cruises team will offer a range of tips to maximise your reef adventure. Presented on the lower deck this is ideal whether you are a first timer or just need a refresher.
Reef presentation: A special presentation by one of the reef naturalists while you are enroute to the pontoon will ensure you truly appreciate the wonders of the underwater world you are about to explore.
Semi submersible / glass bottom boat tours: Departing every 20 minutes from the back of the pontoon, these tours allow you to experience the reef without getting wet.
Touch tank: Our touch tank introduces you to some of the unique creatures of the reef.
Fish feeding: Before leaving the reef each day, the fish are fed from the back of the pontoon. The result is an amazing spectacle that you can view either from the deck or the underwater theatre. For environmental reasons, guests are not allowed to feed fish during the day, and this feed is done in accordance with strict Marine Park guidelines.
Snorkelling equipment: All snorkelling equipment is included in your tour, and it is recommended that you use a buoyancy vest, snorkel with a partner and remain in the designated area at all times. Guided snorkelling tours also available.
Children's pool: This is ideal for our younger guests who can swim in a safe and enclosed environment yet still experience the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef.
Rainforest Adventure
On Day Two it's time to stay on land, starting with a breathtaking journey on the Kuranda Scenic Railway. You can explore the delights of Kuranda, the village in the rainforest, before being transferred by coach to Rainforestation Nature Park.
An amphibious Army Duck tour of the rainforest and tropical fruit orchard, the Koala and Wildlife Park, and the thrills of the Pamiagirri Aboriginal Dance performance and Dreamtime Walk ensure you'll have plenty to see and do.
Time for a relaxed tropical buffet barbecue lunch before heading back down the Kuranda Range in style, skimming the rainforest canopy onboard the award winning Skyrail Rainforest Cableway.
