Kompas Montenegro D.O.O.
Montenegro
Wed, 8th October 2008 - Wed, 31st December 2008

This full-day trip provides you a better understanding of Montenegro, a country with a turbulent history, unforgettable natural beauties and contrasts. We will visit the old town of Kotor, which is under UNESCO protection… a town known for its rich maritime tradition, legendary navy museum of Kotor, and cathedral of St. Tryphon and St. Nicolas church. After a short break, the excursion continues along the Lovcen serpentines, to the heart of Montenegro, with the panoramic view of Boka Kotorska bay, from the height of over 1000 metres above sea level. A short break follows at Bukovica, a tiny village with the oldest Montenegrin restaurant. There you can taste a famous and characteristically smoked ham "pršut", home made "Njeguski" cheese, and a refreshment with a glass of home made drink (honey wine). After that we proceed to the old royal capital, Cetinje. There is a visit to the home/museum of the king Nikola. Leaving Cetinje, on the way back to the hotels, guests will enjoy a colourful sea-side scenery of the south part of Montenegro coast.
