Departing from Downtown Auckland your tour takes you along Queen Street, the "Golden Mile" of Aucklands business and shopping district. Many of the early buildings dating back to the 1880s remain today in amongst the modern high rise buildings of today. Drive past NZs largest University before traveling over Aucklands Harbour Bridge to gain expansive views of the Waitemata Harbour, Boat Marinas and City Skyline. The city has 48 extinct Volcanic sites, many of which can be seen as we make our way through the domain, parks and garden areas.
Visit Aucklands War Memorial Museum to view fascinating exhibits of the Natural, Maori and early European history of New Zealand before continuing your tour through residential areas gaining an insight into where how and why Aucklanders enjoy living in their city. Included at the Museum, is a compelling 30-minute Maori Cultural Performance, offering visitors an insight into Maori mythology, genealogy and spirituality by highly trained and passionate performers.
