We begin our day with a trip to a local winery in the mountain village of Embona. Here we will taste wine and have the chance to buy some produce at factory prices. Next we will head to the picturesque village of Sianna, with its beautiful views over the island. Here we will be able to sample locally produced honey and suma (fire water liquor, very strong).
Our next visit is to the Ancient Kamiros archaeological site for a full guided tour of the ruins, followed by lunch on the coast of Kamiro Skala. Our final visit of the day is to the valley of the butterflies, where you can witness an area where thousands of moths migrate each year to mate. The area is densly wooded with streams. rustic bridges and a very pleasant walkway. Entrance fees to Ancient Kamiros and the Butterfly Valley not included (approximately $13.50). Note: After booking this tour, please call 0030 22410 39863 48 hours prior to your tour to schedule a hotel pick up.
