Don Giovanni (also known as The Rake Punished) is an opera in two acts by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, with libretto by Lorenzo da Ponte, after Giovanni Bertati’s opera Don Giovanni Tenorio, o sia Il convitato di pietra. It was composed in 1787 and premiered on 29 October 1787 at the Estates Theatre in Prague, conducted by the composer himself.

The National Puppet Theatre presents this exceptional opera in a unique classic marionette theatre version, in period costumes and on a large marionette stage. Combinations of traditional baroque stage mechanism, with marionette puppets and live actors interact under the title "Magic Theatre of Baroque World" provide a very entertaining evening understandable by all languages and cultures.
