Between the wars, Rudolfinum was used as a parliament, but now it is used for its' original purpose - for concerts and art exhibitions. The big hall is called the Dvorak Hall, contained within and named after the great Czech composer, and is an unparalleled venue for concert-viewing and hosts many of the Prague Spring events. The small hall is called the Suk Hall and is mainly used for soloist vocal and instrumentals. The grandeur of the interior, the building as a whole and the high standard of the concerts themselves, make an evening here worthwhile.

The Rudolfinum is one of the most famous concert halls in Prague. Home to the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, it is the second most important pseudo-renaissance building after the National Theatre in Prague. Built between 1876-1884, the Rudolfinum was employed as the state parliament between wars. Today it is used for its original purpose of showing concerts and art exhibitions. Regular concerts are played by the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, which has its domicile here. The large Dvorák Hall is used for major recitals, while soloist vocal and instrumentals can be heard in the smaller Suk Hall.
